On Tuesday morning, Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee announced the updated entry requirements to the Emirate, taking extra cautious safety measures to combat the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
As part of the new directive, Covid-vaccinated individuals entering the Emirate from within the UAE will need to show a green status on the Al Hosn app.
As for those who are not vaccinated, they will need to present a negative PCR test result taken within the last 96 hours of entering Abu Dhabi.

The new measures will be going into force from Thursday, December 30, and will be in addition to the current use of EDE scanners to rapidly detect potential Covid-19 cases.
If anyone is showing signs of the virus, the visitors will be sent to take a free antigen test which results will be ready in more than 20 minutes.
To enter the emirate from within the UAE, vaccinated people will now show green status on Alhosn App and unvaccinated categories are required to present a negative PCR test result received within 96 hours.

Abu Dhabi has already limited social events such as wedding ceremonies, funerals and family gatherings to 60% capacity in order to protect the public health and safety.
