The First Emirati Wax Figure is HERE!
Madame Tussauds, the world-famous wax museum is opening in Dubai, and they just revealed their first Middle Eastern wax figure.
Balqees Fathi, the Emirati singer-songwriter is the first person of Middle Eastern descent to be immortalized in wax at Madame Tussauds.
Madame Tussauds said that “With her unique combination of talent, beauty, glamour, strong work ethic and dedication to championing women’s rights, Balqees is an apt and much-deserved addition to the iconic Madame Tussauds attraction.”
Since her meteoric rise to fame in 2013, Fathi has enjoyed huge success. Her three albums broke records and she took part in a world tour as a member of the UAE NSO Symphony Orchestra. Her latest single, “Entaha” is already the song of the summer in the Arab World.
Once opened, Madame Tussauds will display Balqees’ wax figure in the A-list party room with the likes of Will Smith and Lewis Hamilton. Visitors can pose and take pictures with Balqees and other world-famous figures before heading to the interactive dance floor.
Madame Tussauds Dubai is located on Bluewater Island and will open sometime next year.
