Zara Mahmood, a Pakistani artist based in Dubai, has opened her first institutional solo show, ‘Towards Time,’ at Sharjah’s Maraya Art Center.
The exhibition includes works created over the last decade that focus on the artist’s research of the characteristics of drawing.
This body of work departs delicately but significantly from Mahmood’s well-established foundation in traditional printmaking, drawing, and painting, gliding into more contemporary and technological domains of photo transfers, video, and digital prints on non-traditional materials.
