Win 10K At This Theatrical Writing Competition in Sharjah!

Yes, you read that right…10k!

A creative competition that allows people of all ages, from 10 to 35, to join by delving into the concerns of the youth category, and topics of dramatic work that broadens their creative horizons and satisfies their imagination and taste. The text is appropriate for people of all ages.

 

The competition’s goal is to encourage writers to produce and compete through theatrical scripts that convey the needs of youth, are current, and keep pace with their hopes and dreams for the future. They can do this by selecting five texts from the competition and performing them on stage as their characters. The best texts will be printed and presented on stage for three years by Sharjah Youth.

Participant conditions:

  • Text has to be new and written in classical Arabic.
  • Meets the elements of dramatic writing
  • Word limit of 3000
  • The submitted texts should not have been used anywhere and the participant owns it completely
  • The protagonists of the text must be between the ages of 13 and 19 years old.

Winner prizes:

  • First Place: 10,000 AED
  • Second Place 8000 AED
  • Third Place: 6000 AED
  • Fourth Place: 4000 AED
  • Fifth Place: 3000

Sharjah Youth invites UAE nationals and residents aged 10 to 35 to enter the competition by filling out the participation form and submitting the text according to the given conditions on the website www.shjyouth.ae until October 30, 2021. And also uploading a picture of your Emirates ID card of both sides. Finally, then you’ll just need to sign a waiver and a pledge with your CV attached.
