Heroic Doctors Flown Back to UAE to Aid in The Fight Against The Pandemic

Humanity is beautiful

The flights between UAE & India have been suspended for a while now. However, a few doctors and medical staff were given permission to come back to UAE on special flights to help fight against the Covid-19 in UAE. It’s a heroic move from the Indian doctors, nurses & paramedics who are sacrificing themselves & their Eid holidays to help the world.

Indian doctors fly in to UAE with special permission to aid Covid fight

On Tuesday, 20 NMC Healthcare staff arrived in Sharjah on two chartered Air Arabia flights, from Trivandrum and Kochi. They previously worked at NMC Royal Hospital and are now back to help save lives! This hospital was given special approval to allow their employees who were visiting their relatives in India to fly back to UAE.

One of the doctors flown back, Dr Sanjay Rajdev, said “I find myself incredibly grateful to have been able to come back and save at least two lives.”

There were also 49 other NMC medical staff that flew in last week from India and further 80 other staff are booked on special flights to arrive next week from India!

They will all return back to their work after a mandatory quarantine period has finished.

The authorization granted to private healthcare providers to fly in personnel from prohibited regions demonstrates the strength of the two countries’ ties. They really out there helping each other in this very tough and trying situation, it really shows a lot.

UAE has also been there for India many times in the past such as in May when a plane loaded with medical supplies for 7000 staff were sent to India from UAE! So, they really are there for each other when things get rough and that is just so wholesome!

So lets take a special moment to appreciate all the medical staff and workers who continuously work towards fighting this dangerous virus & saving multiple lives at the same time, we owe them!

We are so grateful!
