BOO!
Legends say that this buried village was last inhabited by the people of Al Kutbi Tribe. They say that the ghosts of the tribe still roam around the village which gives it its “spookiness.”
This abandoned village consists of houses scattered in 2 rows with a mosque at the far end of the village. It literally is in the middle of the desert so make sure you take a car suitable for the sand!
In some of the houses, you can still see the decorative interior designs of the house but in others the sand had taken over the house to be able to see anything.
Just look at these pictures…it definitely gives you a certain creepy vibe. Some say that this village was abandoned because of supernatural creatures (Jinn) that drove the people away. Or it was just the uncomfortable environment that made them leave, guess we’ll never know.
However, it’s a great place to get some really cool artsy pictures for your Insta! So, even if you’re not into the spookiness, you can still visit it for some cool pics!
