Don’t Miss This Out: Tickets to Expo 2020 Dubai Are Going Up On Sale Today

The preparations for the most anticipated event of the year, Expo 2020 Dubai, is in full swing to get everything ready just in time for the opening in October 2021. Although it seems like a long time from now, tickets have already gone up on sale on their official website.

All those UAE residents who have purchased tickets and are above 18 years old can enter into a draw for a chance to win a prized place for themselves a guest, at the opening ceremony on September 30th, 2021. These 50 lucky winners will be announced in the first week of September via Expo 2020’s social media channels, so do make sure you are following their accounts.

The opening ceremony will take place at Al Wasl Plaza, that features the world’s largest 360-degree projection surface. Expo’s local entertainment line-up has been announced and so far it includes AR Rahman’s women’s ensemble the Firdaus Orchestra, Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor, Emirati singer Ahlam, Russian ballet theatre group Bolshoi, and finally, the Expo Beats programme.

Expo 2020 will run for 6 months, from October 2021 to April 2022, and is expected to attract more than 25 million visitors in total.

The ticket prices start from one-day tickets, Dhs95, to multi-day passes with an unrestricted entry for 30 days, priced at Dhs195. They also offer season passes that allow unlimited entry for the entire six months of the event and it costs Dhs495, however, those with Mastercard debit and credit can receive a 25% discount while purchasing the tickets.

Family packages offer you unlimited access for the two parents including a nanny, with additional benefits that include discounts on food and beverages, a 25% discount on five additional tickets and an advance purchase photograph voucher worth Dhs 125 – you can get this package for Dhs950.

Tickets will be free for: children under the age of 18, students having a valid student ID from any academic institution around the world, visitors above the age of 59, and those with disabilities will have free tickets too along with their companion receiving a 50% discount on theirs.
