The UAE boys have been doing a fantastic job so far grabbing those early wins from the beginning of the FIFA Arab Cup tournament, this year!
Although UAE lost for the first time in their previous match against Tunisia with a 1-0 defeat, those wins helped UAE secure their spot and Tunisia’s win against the Whites levelled them on points in the group – Helping both countries to proceed to the next stage.

Another crucial result was Syria’s match against Mauritania – The Group B finale against Tunisia in Doha on Monday had not even finished when news began to waft around Al Thumama Stadium: Mauritania, the bottom team in the standings, had beaten Syria 2-1! This meant Syria lost 3 very crucial points for themselves and with now a guaranteed second spot, the UAE had progressed to the next stage.
