Tokyo Paralympics 2020: Team UAE Arrives in Abu Dhabi After Closing Ceremony

The time has finally come where we welcome our champions with open arms to congratulate and celebrate the bravery and passion they have shown towards their respective sports!

However, they have not come empty-handed and managed to bag three Paralympics medals and have put up amazing fights to battle for the podiums!

Abdulla Sultan Al Aryani brings home his second gold medal by winning the 50m Rifle 3P SH1 final in Tokyo, ahead of Serbia’s Laslo Suranji and South Korea’s Shim Youngjip. Al Aryani is now looking forward to competing in the next three major events – The Asian Games, World Championships and of course, Paris 2024.

UAE’s second medal of Tokyo Paralympics 2020 was won by Mohammad Hammadi who came second in the Men’s 800m T34 race, bagging the Emirate’s silver medal! Not only this, Hammadi also won a bronze medal in his first race of Men’s 100m T34, which means he is bring home two Paralympic medals!

Congratulations to all those who participated at the Tokyo Summer Paralympic Games 2020 and all those who help them get there, as well as the friends and family of Team UAE!
