In the UAE, a new school model that will provide free education has been announced that will be implemented from academic year 2022-23.
It will be implemented for all students in grades one through four in ten schools overseen by the Emirates Schools Establishment. Within three years, the organization hopes to increase the number of schools using the model to 28.
The model incorporates advanced learning outcomes that draw on the best of national and international curricula. The national curriculum will include Arabic, Islamic education, moral education, and social studies, whereas the international curriculum will include mathematics, science, and other subjects.
According to the Emirates Schools Establishment, Emiratis and eligible expat students enrolled in government schools can apply to join the ‘Ajyal (generation) Schools in areas near their homes.
