Qatar 2022 organisers confident of full stadiums at FIFA World Cup

The Qatar 2022 World Cup kicks off on November 21 and runs until the final on December 18. There will be 32 national teams competing, who will be seeded into eight groups of four.

The reigning champions are France, who defeated Croatia 4-2 in the 2018 final in Russia.

“This is a FIFA World Cup for Qatar, the region and the world, and the products launched today reflect FIFA’s goal of bringing the beautiful game to as many fans globally as possible,” said FIFA’s Secretary General, Fatma Samoura. “It will be a festival of football that will see fans experience the rich culture and history of the region through the platform of football at top-class stadiums and we look forward to bringing people from different cultures together to live football at the FIFA World Cup.”

“The first FIFA World Cup in the Middle East and Arab world will be an extraordinary event and together with our partners, rights holders and other stakeholders, Qatar cannot wait to bring fans together to celebrate their shared passion for football, experience a new culture and enjoy everything that our country and region have to offer,” said Nasser Al Khater, the CEO of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 LLC.

How to get the tickets:

  1. To apply for Qatar World Cup tickets, you must first create a ticket booking account on the Fifa website, where you can do HERE. After registering, you will be able to apply for individual match tickets, a four-stadium ticket series, or a team specific ticket series.

If you choose individual match tickets, you will be introduced with a full list of fixtures in date order, beginning with the group stage and ending with the final. Because the World Cup draw does not take place until April 1 and the deadline for ticket applications is February 8, you will not know which specific matches you are applying for.

You can apply for up to six tickets per match and up to 60 tickets overall for individual match tickets.

The four-stadium ticket series option combines four individual tickets from four different stadiums on four consecutive days. Each applicant, like for individual match tickets, can apply for up to six four-stadium ticket series.

The team specific ticket series allows fans to apply only for tickets to games involving a specific team. This series has three, four, and seven tickets available. The three-ticket bundle includes only the chosen team’s three group games; four tickets include the group games and the last-16; and seven tickets include the group games and entry to all knockout rounds, including the final.

If your chosen team fails to advance from the group stage and you purchase the four-ticket series, you will still be able to attend the last-16 match with the valid ticket. Similarly, if your team is eliminated before the round, you will still be able to attend each of the games in the seven-ticket series.

The Deadline!

Anyone interested in purchasing Qatar World Cup tickets must register and submit their choices by February 8. At this time, you will not be charged for the tickets.

Once Fifa has completed the random selection draw, you will be notified by email of which tickets you have obtained, as well as additional payment information, such as the steps to take and the deadline to pay for your tickets. Applicants will be notified by March 8th at the latest.
