Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization
If you are interested in learning the history of Islam, you should visit the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization. They have beautiful architecture with galleries displaying Islamic knowledge and Arab world cultures while showing a separate gallery on astronomy, engineering and architecture by islamic scientists. It is definitely a must go museum to visit with a only 10 AED entree fee!
Meliha Archaeological Centre
Meliha Archaeological Centre surprises you with knowledge about the ancient history of the UAE that you never knew about even while living here for the longest time. When visiting, you have multiple packages to choose from, you could have fun discovering the fossil rock or camel rock while enjoying dinner near a campfire, or touring caves while learning all about the stone age. You can also book a camp night with the centre to stargaze all night to catch the beautiful sunrise at the desert. So, if you are looking for a fun weekend to spend with your family and friends, check this place out!
Sharjah Classic Car Museum
A classic car museum for any car lovers out there! The timings are from 4:00-8:00 pm with only a 5AED entry fee!
Sharjah Art Museum
The Sharjah Art Museum holds many exhibitions and sights to see from paintings to sculptures to artworks. It is definitely a place to go if youโre an art lover and even if you arenโt you can still go there and have a wonderful day! There is no entry fee and the timings are from 4-8 pm. Enjoy!
Al Mahatta Museum
This is a museum for all plane lovers! Check out this place to learn more about the history of aviation, from learning about the days of the Wright Brothers to Neil Armstrongโs first step on the moon. They even hold some scientific flight lectures for young children out there who are interested. Fun fact: this museum is actually held in the same place that Sharjah’s first airport was located!
