Check Out These 6 Strange Hotels Around the World

Weirdly attractive

If you travel a lot, you’d know, choosing a hotel is a sport (except if you’re rich and all for 5 stars.) The regular better bed and lounge ones are a good enough pick, bonus points for a reasonable rest room. If normal doesn’t help or if you’re bored of the ‘good’ ones, we’ve got a list of 6 strange hotels around the world, believe it or not, they actually exist!

Utter Inn, Sweden

This deck and cabin on a floating platform is located on Lake Malaren in Sweden and was actually a project of a local artist. You walk down a steep ladder to your aquarium-like bedroom and that’s not it, they give you an inflatable canoe and leave you on your own to make it work!

The Crane Hotel, The Netherlands

A crane in the docks converted to a hotel? That sounds like an interesting idea! Theres a bedroom and bathroom fitted in the observation window and breakfast is delivered via lifts. Hey hey, the crane still works and the guests can maneuver it the way they want!

Palacio de Sal, Bolivia

This hotel is made entirely of salt including the walls, floor, ceiling and even most of the furniture. Over a million salt blocks were used in its construction, and salty water was used as the mortar. Talk about taking complete advantage of the uber gorgeous Salar de Uyuni nearby.

Free Spirit Spheres, Canada

This is our tree house fantasy and we, honestly, would love to stay here. This funny eyeball shaped capsule is suspended in the air by ropes among trees and the only way in and out is via a suspension bridge that links to a spiral staircase running around a tree trunk.

Propeller Island City Lodge, Germany

This one of a kind hotel is in Berlin and has gained attention for just existing in the real world! That’s true! It has 27 rooms and each room is a whole other concept. From a room full of mirrors to a prison cell and even a crypt room, where you sleep in a coffin, say what?

Dog Bark Park Inn, USA

This ten metres high and five metres wide ‘hotel’ is made of wood and is named Sweet Willy. There’s a double room in his stomach and a loft room in his muzzle, eh okay! Can’t say much tbh!
