We hardly get rain here in the UAE, so the Rain room in Sharjah is the perfect place for our little getaway from the summer heat.
The Rain Room, presented by the Sharjah Art Foundation, is located in Al Majjarah, Sharjah. It is a room where there is a continuous downpour of rain that magically doesn’t seem to fall on you! You could walk through the room and not have a single drop touch you 😳
However there is an actual system to why this happens, the site uses 2,500 litres of self-cleaning recycled water which is controlled through a system of networked 3D tracking cameras. It really is astonishing how all this works!
To buy the tickets, you can either get them online or at the place. If you are an adult, the ticket price is 25 AED, however if you’re a student or a teacher it is 15 AED. Make sure to bring your ID to verify that you are a student or a teacher!
You can visit them from 9:00am to 9:00 pm from Saturday to Thursday and 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm on a Friday.
