A million-dollar story ❤
More than 100 artists and production professionals from the UAE and around the world are rehearsing and preparing for the opening night of ‘Narratives of the Place’ (Sard Al Makan), next week!
‘Narratives of the Place’ is a show narrating the history of Sharjah and its extraordinary journey and accommodation over the past 50 years.
Now, local and international performers have come together to tell the story through an experimental theatrical show by beautifully bending poetry, narration, music and stunning visual effects at the one and only Al Majaz Amphitheatre.
Some of the world-class artists and performers from the UAE, Canada, Brazil, the US, Cuba, France, Belgium and Slovenia, currently rehearsing at Al Majaz Amphitheatre, have won international recognition for their performances while others have served on the jury of several international festivals and competitions – Some have also performed in Cirque du Soleil and Broadway, among other world-renowned shows!
This was organised by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau to show the emirate’s rich history, highlighting the valiant resistance against invaders, sharing stories and traditions of Sharjah’s ancient culture along with bringing viewers to the modern-day by portraiting the emirate’s monumental development strides in every sector, including at numerous international fairs and festivals that it hosts annually.
The show will be held on January 25-26 and then January 28-19 at the beautiful Al Majaz Amphitheatre
