Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival, which has been held every year since 2017, is finally here again and ready to cultivate the entrepreneurial mindset and inspire the next generation of change-makers. The event brings together key players in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, inspiring speakers, innovative startups, government leaders, and aspiring entrepreneurs to inspire, motivate, and grow!
This year, their theme is #WhenStarsCollide where they state “Individually, we are stars. Together we are a constellation.”
Attendance will be free as part of Sheraa’s $1 million solidarity fund. This fund was established in 2020 to assist start-ups dealing with the economic consequences of the coronavirus pandemic.
“Sheraa believes that people have the power to change the world through entrepreneurship,” its chief executive Najla Al Midfa said.

Sheraa, which means “to sail” in Arabic, is Sharjah’s initiative to create an ecosystem for start-ups in the emirate. Its headquarters are located at the American University of Sharjah, and its hub, which opened in September 2018, is also located at the University of Sharjah.
It has assisted founders in scaling their businesses through workshops, mentorships, and introductions to investors, government partners, and corporate entities in order to secure growth capital. Since its inception in 2017, SEF has featured over 200 start-ups, 240 local and international speakers, and over 8,000 attendees.
There are so many speakers and startups participating for this huge festival already that we KNOW it’s going to be a great one! It will last for 2 days from November 22nd to November 23rd at Expo Centre Sharjah.
