A Salon in India Paid a Model Around AED 995,300 for a Bad Haircut

Talk about serious matters

A good hair day is what we all want, be it for the gram or just to look good, and some of us take good hair days pretty seriously. That’s that, but what about a haircut that goes wrong. There’s no other way around it but to just ignore those comments and move on! A model in India took a bad haircut at heart and didn’t quite want to ‘move on’, she had her reasons guys!

Model, Aashna Roy went to a salon at a top New Delhi hotel in 2018 and asked the staff to trim a conservative 4 inches (10 cm) from her hair tips. The hairdresser however cut her entire hair and left 4 inches off the roots, barely touching her shoulders…. umm! Told you, she had reasons!

The matter was taken to court and it determined that this caused distress in the model’s career as she lends her skills to advertisements for hair products, and the debacle of a haircut had led to “severe mental breakdown and trauma”.

“There is no doubt that the women are very cautious and careful with regard to their hair,” said the ruling by the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission in India. This incident caused the salon to pay around AED 995,300 to the model and we’re thinking of skipping the next hair appointment!

They grow back tho!
