The new system for residence visas and entry permits includes a new track that provides skilled employees with a five-year residency without the need for a sponsor or employer!
This decision aims to attract skilled employees, entrepreneurs, freelancers, investors and more towards higher achievement and success.
This system also allows the individual to stay in the country for 6 months even after the visa has been expired or cancelled.
To attain this visa you need to make sure that:
- Applicants must have a valid employment contract
- You must be classified as first, second, or third occupational level by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.
- The minimum educational level is a bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- The salary cannot be less than 15,000 dirhams.
For freelancers or self-employed individuals:
- A freelance/self-employment permit from the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation is required.
- A bachelor’s degree or specialized diploma should be the minimum educational level.
- The previous two years’ self-employment income should not have been less than Dh360,000.
For investors and partners:
- Approval of the investment and proof of investment
- The total invested capital will be calculated if the investor (partner) has more than one licence.
- The approval of the appropriate local authorities is required.
