Go Green! UAE Announces Their Pledge to Achieve Net-Zero Carbon by 2050

A few days ago, Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed along with the government have announced their ambitious plans on reducing carbon emissions by 2050!

This announcement came ahead of the crucial Cop26 climate change conference in Glasgow happening right now till November 12th. This conference has been described as the most important summit since the Paris Agreement in 2015, where 195 countries including UAE signed a deal to limit global average temperature.

If you’re wondering what these climate change meetings mean, carry on reading – The main purpose is for governments to work together and adopt a concerted approach to tackle rising global temperatures that is causing harm to our planet, including the increase in the amount of floods and wildfires we’ve seen in recent years.

Looks like United Kingdom’s Prime Minister, Boris Johnson also appreciated UAE’s efforts in fighting climate change.

It’s time we get into the green team!
