Earlier we had seen the new 50 dirham note & we’re in love, now, The United Arab Emirates Central Bank has issued two new banknotes!
The Dh5 and Dh10 notes are polymer notes with a number of security features.
The banknotes are the third generation of the Dh5 and Dh10 notes, and they are made of environmentally friendly and recyclable polymer. The material outlasts traditional cotton-paper banknotes allowing it to last longer!
The notes include a transparent window with a portrait of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the late Founding Father. They also include the UAE brand logo, as well as phosphorescent illustrations and writings made with special printing techniques.
The Dh10 note have already been out but the Dh5 note will go out on Tuesday, April 26!
