UAE Announces Covid-19 Guidelines for Returning Hajj Pilgrims

On Monday, The United Arab Emirates’ National Emergency and Crisis Management Authority announced two important COVID-19 guidelines that Hajj pilgrims returning to the UAE must follow during the Eid Al Adha break. This includes:

  • Taking a mandatory COVID-19 test on day four, with an option to test on arrival too.
  • Completing an isolation period of seven days upon returning to the UAE.

Hajj pilgrims are advised to adhere to the mandatory COVID-19 safety measures, such as wearing a face mask in public spaces and maintaining social distance.

Eid Al Adha will begin on Saturday, with public and private sector workers on holiday from Friday, July 8 until Monday, July 11.

The working day will resume on Tuesday, July 12.

Stay safe everyone!
