Honestly Sharjah’s traffic has become a meme, no one ever want’s to get stuck in Sharjah during rush hour so we’re pretty sure that this news is about to make all of your days a lil better!

Anyways GOOD NEWS! A new project announced in Sharjah will cut the amount of time you spend stuck in traffic by 20%.
The ‘smart traffic control’ project will use cutting-edge technology in traffic signals to detect and eliminate bottlenecks. This new project will improve traffic flow, increase safety, reduce collisions, and reduce pollution by reducing carbon emissions from traffic stops.
On Tuesday, Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of Sharjah Executive Council (SEC), presided over a council meeting.
