Did You Hear? Dubai Metro Stations Al Rashdiya & Al Jaffliya Will Be Renamed!

Oh wow!

It has been announced by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) that Al Rashidiya and Al Jafiliya will be renamed. What will the new names be? Find out below!

*drum roll*

Al Jafiliya station will be renamed as Max Fashion while Al Rashidiya station is now called Centrepoint. Following a negotiated agreement, the RTA handed Landmark Group the naming rights to the two metro stations.

Now you may ask why?

“These stations have strategic significance as Al Rashidiya is the starting station of the Red Line, and Al Jafiliya Station is a vibrant business destination. Thus, it offers an excellent opportunity for the group to align its brands with key destinations in Dubai.” Ibrahim Al Haddad, director of commercial and investment, strategy and corporate covernance sector RTA, said.

RTA is continually looking for new ways to work with businesses to provide strategic possibilities for companies, particularly domestic ones, to display and promote their brands in Dubai.

“The Dubai Metro has been one of the city’s most sophisticated facades that has changed Dubai’s landscape. By taking the naming rights of the two very popular metro stations, our very loved brands, Centrepoint and Max, can get even closer to our customers and connect with them through new and innovative experiences,” said Renuka Jagtiani, Chairwoman and CEO, Landmark Group.

Sooooo that’s the news folks, get ready to be using these names from now on! It sure will be hard tho, almost feels like accidentally writing the old year on our school note books after new years.

Stay safe!
