As the Covid-19 cases are dropping gradually day by day, Oman will start allowing travelers from the UAE to cross it’s border from September 1st 2021, the government in Muscat announced!
“The land borders between Oman and the UAE will be open on September 1. People who will be travelling from the two countries using the land borders will need to be vaccinated and will be required to do PCR tests too,” Dr Said Al Abri, director general of disease control at the Health Ministry, said during a weekly televised meeting.
It’s an amazing news for many residents of Oman as well as they frequently would visit the UAE on the weekends for a little relaxing getaway!
As Oman shut it’s borders many times before due to the Covid-19 virus spreading around, many Oman-UAE businesses got affected unfortunately. So this is also great news for everyone who owns a business in Oman/UAE!
Only 101 infection cases and two Covid-19 deaths were recorded in Oman on Wednesday. Infections peaked at 2,000 per day last month, with up to 35 deaths every day.
