A new UAE initiative will provide financial assistance to cancer patients who are unable to pay for their treatments!
The Ministry of Health and Prevention has formed a collaboration with Merck Serono Middle East and Al Manzil healthcare services to assist patients who do not have health insurance or have only partial coverage.
Residents with colorectal, head and neck, and urothelial cancer, as well as multiple sclerosis, are eligible for the program.
It is part of a mission to provide the greatest quality healthcare to the people of the UAE.
Part of this mission is to address the incidence of cancer and other diseases that severely impact our people, and support longer, happier and healthier lives for all,” Al Amiri said.
“With the support of programme such as Rawan, we can ensure that our people can get access to the latest medicines, and improve the overall quality of healthcare in the UAE,” he added.
You need to be a UAE resident who has been diagnosed with cancer or has a pre-existing condition such as multiple sclerosis, has a referral from a UAE-based treating physician and has a valid Merck product prescription to be eligible for this program.
What a great initiative!
