Great News: Students in the UAE Can Now Get Free PCR Tests!

Wohoo!! This is amazing news for all the students out there studying here in the UAE, especially now that PCR tests are being required for back-to-school classes!

All children enrolled in Abu Dhabi private and charter schools must have a negative PCR test result no older than 14 days to return to class and for the first month of the term, according to the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK).

So therefore Abu Dhabi has allowed students to get FREE Covid-19 PCR tests in governmental and private screening centers until September 30th. They will also be able to walk in without an appointment!

Free PCR testing is also available for students at selected facilities all across the UAE!

In other news, the UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has announced that the cost of PCR testing will be decreased to AED50! The results must be displayed within 24 hours in state-run medical facilities. Fines and closure were threatened to any medical establishment that attempted to price PCR tests at a different rate.

There will also now be saliva tests at Seha drive-through centres and Biogenix Lab.

The designated Seha COVID-19 screening centres are open from Saturday to Thursday, 8am to 8pm, and from 10am to 8pm on Friday.

This is amazing news for all the students out there who constantly have to get PCR tests done for their classes!
