When it comes to Covid-19 vaccination rates, the UAE leads the world. According to statistics from ‘Our World in Data,’ the country has the highest percentage of fully vaccinated residents.
Almost 78% of residents are fully vaccinated against the coronavirus, and more than 89% have received at least one dose. Portugal ranks second on the list, with more than 77% of residents fully vaccinated. Qatar is ranked third, with more than 74% of residents receiving two doses.
The UAE also has the highest vaccination distribution rate in the world, with 187.64 doses distributed per 100 people.
And according to the National Crisis and Emergency Management Authority (NCEMA), daily Covid-19 cases have been steadily declining.
When compared to January of this year, the UAE saw a 62% decrease in daily Covid-19 cases in August. On August 24, daily infections fell below 1,000 for the first time in eight months. For the past 15 days, it has remained below 1,000.
