We’re usually showing our residency visas on our passports, but now our Emirates ID’s will be enough to show proof of our residence! Scroll down below to read what this is all about!
Foreign residents in the UAE will eventually no longer need their passports stamped with residency visas.
This will apply to residency documents issued after April 11, 2022!
Airline companies will be able to confirm residents’ residency using their Emirates ID and passport number. This step is based on a Cabinet resolution issued earlier this year and aims to improve the services provided to the people of the country.
So for whoever gets a residence vida issued after April 11, you can just easily use your Emirates ID to show proof of residency and more!
So convenient!
