Al Hosn app is used to enter many places in the UAE and now you can even use it to travel easily to European countries and countries that accept the International Air Transport Association (IATA) travel pass!
All EU DCC (European Union Digital COVID Certificate-Regulation) member countries and IATA travel pass members accept the Al Hosn Travel Pass.
In Europe a digital Covid certificate is accepted for travel purposes, showing a negative result or proving your vaccination, therefore they have also accepted the Al Hosn app. This also means that a PCR test or a vaccine given in the UAE will be recognized in Europe!
The IATA travel pass is an app used by both airlines, Emirates and Etihad airways, that help you manage your covid-19 PCR tests and vaccination records.
So when you travel to Europe by Emirates airlines, make sure you have downloaded the IATA Travel Pass and then scan the Al Hosn’s App’s Travel Pass QR code and load the results back to the app.
This is great news because now you can just conveniently use the Al Hosn app to enter any public spots and events in Europe instead of trying to find ways to show your negative PCR test/vaccination certificate in an unfamiliar country!
Adding the travel pass on Al Hosn App
- Download the app
- Register by entering your Emirates ID and mobile number
- Tap on UAE National/Resident
- You will then be shown your status, your personal QR code, your vaccine dose, booster shot and your COVID-19 negative pcr test result
- Swipe right and tap ‘add pass’
- You will then be shown these categories:
- Expo 2020 Pass
- Green Pass
- Travel Pass – Test Result (this will only be issued if you have a negative PCR test result in the last 72 hours)
And that’s how you get the travel pass!!
