Look Out for the Last Supermoon of the Year on June 24th

Don’t miss out!

On June 24th, Thursday night, is your chance to see the last supermoon of this year, so keep your eyes wide open and grab your friends and family to witness this special moment with them!

This supermoon is called the Strawberry Moon, despite its name, unfortunately the Moon does not appear to be red or pink or look anything similar to a strawberry. Instead it will look gold and large just like the picture taken above. It was named “Strawberry Moon” by Native American Tribes as it was during the harvesting season of strawberries that the supermoon appeared to be.

Fortunately, you do not need any special equipment to look out for the Strawberry Moon, but it would be easier seen if you are at a place with a clear sky and at a high point. You can expect to see the moon at 7:04 pm as it rises.

So, if you were never able to catch a supermoon before, this is your chance to do so now! Grab your family and friends and enjoy the night of the last supermoon of the year!
