News: Abu Dhabi to Start Allowing Only Those Vaccinated at Certain Public Spaces

Another update for those in Abu Dhabi!

The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee approved the decision to allow only those vaccinated into certain public spaces, starting from Friday, August 20, 2021.

This decision came after more than 93 per cent of the target groups were vaccinated in the emirate and to further preserve public health.

The committee has stated the first phase of the decision includes shopping centres, restaurants, cafes, and all the other retail outlets that are not within shopping centres, excluding the supermarkets and pharmacies.

This also involves gyms, health clubs, resorts, museums, cultural centres, theme parks as well as educational institutions – universities, schools, and nurseries.

It should be noted though, that this decision does not apply to those who are unvaccinated and are exempt from receiving the Covid-19 vaccination through the approved process and are registered on Alhosn app. Children aged 15 and under are also involved in this list.

The Committee believes that this decision will enhance the safety in areas that have been subject to additional precautionary measures and provide further protection for our community members in Abu Dhabi.
