The emirate’s education regulator has announced that students enrolling in Sharjah schools will not be required to be vaccinated against Covid-19. But students aged 12 and up must have a negative Covid-19 PCR test result at the start of the school year, which begins in September. That will be the only time they have to show a negative PCR test result for the whole semester.

However, it’s still strongly encouraged by the Sharjah Education Private Authority (SEPA) to have your kids vaccinated.

Now don’t worry, the staff will all be vaccinated unless they are exempted from it due to medical reasons. In that case, they will need to have a PCR test done every week to ensure safety among the students and teachers.

It has also been mentioned by the UAE Ministry of Education that all pupils aged 16 and up, as well as instructors and staff, must be properly vaccinated against Covid-19, to be able to enter schools.

Make sure to still keep yoir masks on and maintain social distancing!

Stay safe everyone! We wish you all the best.
