Like the rest of the Emirate, government nurseries and schools in Sharjah will switch to a four-day working system and a three-day weekend as of January 1st, 2022.
According to Sharjah Education Council, the workweek in nurseries will start from Monday morning, 6:45 am to Thursday, 4 pm while the weekends will include days off on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Last week, the whole Middle East were surprised to hear UAE changing their usual working but the whole of UAE was taken back when the Sharjah Executive Council announced a four-day working system along with a full three-day weekend for their residents!
Do keep in mind tho that on December 7th, it was announced that the public sector workers will however adopt a four and a half-day working week – Friday taking the half-day, starting January 1st, 2022.
