South Korea plans to give AED 1800 to young people who tend to stay at home all the time, to encourage them to go out and engage in social activities!
South Korea is offering young people aged 9-24 who tend to stay at home a new program that provides a monthly allowance of $490, plus education, job, and health support. The goal is to help those experiencing extreme social withdrawal, also known as ‘hikikomori’, to leave their homes and engage in school, university, work or cultural activities.
This initiative aims to expand on previous measures announced last year and encourage a healthier and more active lifestyle for socially withdrawn youths in the country.
