The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC) has announced that UAE nationals with diplomatic, special, and ordinary passports can now travel to Tajikistan without a pre-entry visa and remain for up to 90 days per visit. The decision is effective on January 1, 2022.
Tourist entry to Tajikistan is currently prohibited due to conditions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to Khalid Abdullah Belhoul, Under-Secretary of MoFAIC, the agreement represents the UAE and the Republic of Tajikistan’s strong ties, which were formed on mutual understanding and respect, as well as a desire to strengthen bilateral relations, to reflect the dreams and ambitions and visions of the two countries’ leaders, and to serve common interests and goals.
