As we see temperatures rise up significantly in UAE, The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has announced the start of the mid-day break for labourers at project and construction sites from June 15 to September 15.
This rule was implemented for labourers working under direct sunlight from 12:30 pm -3:00 pm, protecting them from the risks of exposure to high temperatures during summer.
#MOHRE will begin implementing the mid-day break in open spaces from 12:30 PM until 3 PM starting 15 June until 15 September. Several businesses whose nature requires the continuation of work are excluded from the ban. #UAE pic.twitter.com/kIRnIhOUlD

Whereas, in the case of multiple workers found working in violation of the midday break, a maximum fine of Dhs50,000 may be imposed.
If you notice these violations of the ban taking place anywhere in UAE, you report it through the ministry’s call centre on 600590000 from Monday to Saturday, 8 am to 8 pm or register your complaints on the authority’s app.
