UAE to Allow 80% Capacity At Private Parties & Other Social Gatherings

Getting back to normal….

UAE has announced to further ease the coronavirus restrictions in the country, amidst the positive signs of a sharp decline in the number of daily reported Covid-19 cases and an increase in recoveries as well as the vaccination rates.

The National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) updated the protocols of what is required in order to host parties, weddings, public gatherings and mourning at homes, allowing up to 80% capacity or in other words a capacity of no more than 60 people along with 10 catering and hospitality staff will be allowed.

However, we all must still be cautious in order to remain safe and protect all those around us. So, here are the requirements that all guests and hosts of the social gathering must fulfil:

  • Everyone must be fully vaccinated
  • The second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine should have been taken at least two weeks prior to the event
  • Everyone entering the gathering will be required to show a green pass on the Al Hosn app
  • A negative PCR test will be required to take no more than 48 hours prior to the event
  • Face masks should be worn by all, at all times

Along with the usual temperature checking and sanitation of the premises should be carried out throughout the event.

Stay safe & enjoy!
