Ugh finally!!
Forecasters predict that temperatures will drop significantly and weather conditions will rapidly change during the month of October as the country transitions from summer to winter.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) stated in its monthly climate report released on Friday that October is one of the second transitional period months between summer and winter. This period is typically marked by sharp and rapid changes in weather conditions, with temperatures beginning to fall significantly, particularly in the second half of this month when compared to September.
“Southeasterly winds will prevail during late nights and mornings, becoming northwesterly during afternoons and evenings due to effect of the land/sea breeze circulation,” said the report.
There also has been news that a tropical storm ‘Shaheen’ is expected to hit coastal areas, says NCM!

Tropical cyclone According to the National Center of Meteorology, Shaheen was expected to intensify into a category 1 tropical cyclone and impact the UAE’s coastal and other areas on Friday evening.
Storm surge – a rise in seawater level, rain of varying intensities, strong winds, and flash floods – are predicted in the eastern and southern parts of the country over the next two days, according to the most recent weather forecast.
On the impact over the UAE, the NCM said: “It is expected that the eastern coast will be affected from Saturday night with a storm surge, especially with the period of high tide at low areas. From Sunday afternoon and evening, some regions of the country will be affected with the extension of the tropical situation, especially the eastern and southern regions, where convective clouds will be associated with rain in different intensity that leads to flash floods in the valleys and torrents, and water will accumulate in some low-lying areas.”
The NCM forecasts fresh to strong winds with blowing dust and sand, reducing horizontal visibility, particularly with convective clouds.
