Since the borders between UAE & Oman have opened up on September 1st, people from Oman have been coming to Sharjah where they are greatly welcomed by the Sharjah Authorities!
The Sharjah Ports, Customs and Free Zone Authority gave a warm welcome to all the visitors coming from Oman with flowers, scarves and symbolic gifts!
“The UAE welcomes Omani brothers to their second country, wishing them good safe times,” said Mohammed Ibrahim Al Raisi, Director of the Ports and Border Points Affairs.
Not only did they give them a warm welcome, but also made preparations for them so they can have a safe and fun stay in Sharjah!
“The procedures and preparations that have been made during the past days clearly reflect our love for the brotherly Omani people!” added Chairman of the Organizational Committee of Ports and Border Points.
However, visitors from Oman will still need to follow the strict COVID-19 protocols that are in place. They will need to provide a negative PCR test result taken not more than 48 hours before their arrival and also will need to take a rapid test at the border. If they’re staying in the UAE for more than 4 days, then they would need tot take another PCR test on the 4th day, and if they decide to stay 8 or more days then will need to take another PCR test on the 8th day!
Safe travels!
