An Emirati Astrophysics Researcher Discovers Findings on Evolution of Galaxies

Aisha Al Yazeedi, a 25-year-old Astrophysics researcher at NYU Abu Dhabi published a scientific research paper that aiming to understand the physics of the ‘SMBH’ (Supermassive Black Hole) present at the centre of the galaxy and how it influences its evolution.

And she sure did reach her goal as Al Yazeedi’s findings might be a very useful discovery for researchers to further understand the changes made in the galaxies that were influenced by enormous black holes.

The scientific paper was based on a galaxy called MaNGA 1-166919, describing more about the light and radio signals emanating from a galaxy with a supermassive black hole at the centre.

Aisha Al Yazeedi is a graduate of Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi and is supported by Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre while the 25-year-old continues to carry on with her research at NYU Abu Dhabi’s Centre for Astro, Particle and Planetary Physics under the supervision of Di Joseph Gelfand, an associate physics professor and co-author of the paper.

Incredible work!
