This kind gesture coincided with the International Human Rights Day when 95 Expo 2020 Dubai tickets were purchased by the Emirate’s Punitive and Rehabilitation Establishment to be gifted to the inmates’ families and their children.
This was carried out with the help of The Human Rights Team at the General Command of Sharjah Police in collaboration with the Punitive and Rehabilitation Establishment who distributed these free Expo 2020 Dubai tickets to the families.
There were as many as 14 families included in this initiative which was launched with a goal to spread happiness amongst the families as well as to give an opportunity to experience the cultural activities and events taking place at the Al Wasl Plaza along with the rest of the pavilions.
The initiative was also part of the strategy of the Ministry of Interior’s and the directives of Major General Saif Al Ziri Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, initiative to ensure the promotion of human rights.
Kudos to them!
