An open floating theatre is coming soon and is part of a series of pretty amazing plans announced by the Ruler of Sharjah himself, back in April! That includes developing projects that will be opened every six to eight months and as of now, Sharjah is focusing on government buildings in Kalba and expanding them hence why, His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi calls 2022 as the year of Kalba and 2023 will focus on developing Al Dhaid.

The theatre will be located on the corniche of Kalba, in front of the glamourous view of the Arabian Sea and will have various facilities throughout the year to keep the visitors even more entertained.

The shape of ‘Kalba Floating Theatre’ was actually inspired by His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and the Ruler of Sharjah, who pitched in his idea of a shape that resembles  a seashell surrounded by water basins, how spectacular is that?

The opening of the project has been approved however, the details of it has not been announced yet so do follow our page on Instagram HERE to be updated!

Doesn’t she look beautiful?
