How sweet!
Over 500 bags containing winter clothing and blankets were distributed to Sharjah-based workers recently to help keep them warm during this winter season!
The Labour Standards Development Authority’s (LSDA) project is part of the Sharjah Charity International’s (SCI) ‘Warm Winter’ campaign.
“Extending support to workers comes in line with the vision and directives of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, who has always stressed the important role played by workers in the (emirate’s) development process,” Salem Yousef Al Qaseer, chairman of LSDA, said.
The bags were distributed by the LSDA team to workers from three construction companies: Fast, Al Hamad, and Al Wathba Contracting.
The workers displayed tears of joy and have shown how grateful they are for this warm gift by Sharjah!
