What An Achievement!
Tadej Pogačar, a 22-year-old Slovenian cyclist, won Tour de France with the UAE Team Emirates, for the second time in a row! He took the win for the final mountain stage of the tournament last Thursday and was crowned the Tour champion when the race ended this Sunday.
The Slovenain is the youngest cyclist ever in the history of Tour de France to defend his title for the second successive year, where we won three stages, including the back to back mountain stages. he is now the youngest double winner of the race too.
If this wasn’t enough, Pogačar also won an award for the ‘best rider under-25’ and ‘the king of the mountains polka-dot jersey’, a triple that he also achieved on his debut last year.
What a proud moment for UAE and Tadej Pogačar!
