Some expensive pixels
Meet Benyamin Ahmed, a 12-year student from Wales. At first glance, Benyamin might just seem like any other kid stuck with online learning during the pandemic. Take a closer look though, and you’ll see the creator of one of the most sought-after NFT on the internet. Benyamin is the creator of Weird Whales, a Non-Fungible Token (NFT), that’s taken the crypto world by storm. And he’s made bank on his creations too, earning 80 ETH, that’s ethereum for those who don’t know. 80 ETH is worth about BD150,000.
Benyamin and his brother began coding when they were 5, and they haven’t stopped since. He started making NFT’s during the pandemic, with an initial investment of $300, but by the time he was finished, he had a whole lot more.
Weird Whales have done so well because according to Benyamin, people identify a lot with him due to his age and his story. Weird Whales are made in pixel style, reminiscent of Minecraft.
