Summer is slowly coming to an end and if you’re looking for last-minute summer activities for your kids to go to or even yourself, here are a few fun and educational workshops organised by Mleiha Archeological Centre that you can attend this week up until September 1st!
Fossil Fun Expedition
This workshop will give you a little glimpse into a palaeontologist life, allowing you to learn how to make fossil casts by using actual and real fossil fuels found in Mleiha and seashells around the region!
The Standard package will include fossil molding class, letting you take home whatever you made, whereas the Premium package will give you a chance to walk through and explore the ancient sea beds from ages ago to the now resting place of ancient creatures as well as the Eart’s mantle.

Flora and Fauna
This is a chance for you to learn more about the region’s nature such as the plants, animals, and wildlife by trekking around the Centre grounds led by the Educators present there, who will guide you to discover plant species indigenous to the region and to also spot some of the local fauna. This is also perfect for this summer heat we are all battling these days, as its an indoor activity.

Sound of the Past
Throw it back to those ancient times when humans made tools out of stones to create sharp objects that later became known as knives and used more tools to defend themselves and to hunt animals. This workshop will teach the participants all about how humans back then used to use local flint to make those tools as well as the origins of humans, their migration out of Africa, all the tales narrated by some of Mleiha’s best educators. The package will also include site visits to the Valley of the Caves, so it will definitely be fun and interactive for you or your kids to enjoy.

Space Camp
Here is your chance to learn everything from the evolution of our universe or the scale of the solar system to the possibility of the existence of alien life and so much more! The package wil include you cooking your one comet, learning the basics on how to observe the sky and stargazing through the night, how sweet is that?
