The Mleiha Archaeological and Ecotourism Project in Sharjah is providing a Jebel Buhais trekking package for tourists and residents that merges physical activity with a glimpse into the Mleiha region’s significant archaeological discoveries that will truly take your breath away!
The Jebel Buhais trek in Mleiha offers visitors a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to walk on sands long forgotten and trace the footsteps of people who lived thousands of years ago.
It is a 1 hour archaeological discovery trekking experience that begins with a 15-minute drive to the Buhais Mountain, where you’ll be able to walk among various discovered tombs. Then you can hike up a historic mountain trail to the top, where you’ll find a 2,000-year-old Iron Age fort with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and wadis.
On the way up to Buhais, knowledgeable guides will speak about the fascinating flora and fauna found in the area.
PRICE: The trekking package costs AED 200 for adults and AED 100 for children (10 years old and above, accompanied by an adult). The trek requires a minimum of two guests and is limited to a maximum of six people per trip.
