FINALLY!!!
UAE has finally been moved to UK’s amber list, slowly easing the restrictions on those travelling to the United Kingdom after 188 days of being on the red list. All changes will go into effect starting Sunday, August 8.
Here are the new rules on being on the amber list:
Before you arrive:
- Take a COVID-19 test before minimum 72 hours before your flight and should show proof of negative result
- Complete a passenger locator form, do this any time in the 48 hours before you arrive in UK
For those vaccinated
- Will not have to quarantine after arriving to UK
- will have to book and take a COVID-19 tavel test on or before day 2 of arriving to UK (the day you arrive is day 0)
Those not fully vaccinated
- Tale a COVID-19 travel test on or before day 2 and on or after day 8 after you arrive in UK
- Will have to quarantine at home or in the place you are staying at for 10 days after you arrive
This is great news for those waiting to reconnect with their families, going on business trips, people working in the UK and especially UK students waiting to fly back for the upcoming semester in September. Have safe travels!
Stay Safe!
