New Travel Updates for Passengers Flying Into the UAE

As COVID-19 cases continuously change, rules for traveling into the country also keep updating to the new situations. Here are some updated  rules for passengers flying into the UAE.

  • Passengers with e-visas from India, Pakistan, Nepal, and Sri Lanka will be required to present Covid-19 vaccination records before flying to Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah, according to Air Arabia
  • The airline noted that all travelers arriving in Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah with newly granted e-visas must register with the ICA before departing.
  • Residents of these Pakistan, India, Nepal and Sri Lanka who are fully vaccinated will be allowed to fly into Dubai as long as they travel 14 days after receiving the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine in the UAE. They will also need to provide a vaccination certificate and the Alhosn app’s green status.
  • Residents of Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, and other northern emirates must register on the ICA website before traveling, whereas residents of Dubai must register on the GDRFA platform.
  • FlyDubai also stated that all vaccinated and non-vaccinated medical staff working in the UAE, including physicians, nurses, and technicians, are allowed to enter.
  • Teachers from universities, colleges, schools, and institutes; students currently studying in the UAE; humanitarian cases with valid visas (for family reunion); government staff from federal and local entities; Golden Visa holders, and diplomats are also allowed to enter, despite their vaccination status, according to the airline.
  • According to travel instructions announced by the UAE and Indian carriers on Tuesday, visitors to Dubai will not be asked to show their vaccination records before entering the country. However, according to the travel restrictions provided on the Etihad Airways and Air Arabia websites, passengers who choose to go into all other international airports in the country must continue to present proof of vaccination as indicated previously.
