The Emirates Health Services (EHS) announced that Al Qassimi Hospital for Women & Children, in collaboration with the Visiting Consultants Program, completed 12 surgeries to treat pelvic diseases using the surgical robot in just five days!
With this accomplishment, Al Qassimi Hospital strengthens its local leadership as the first health facility to perform over 151 robotic surgeries since February 2019.
This remarkable achievement underpins the successes of the EHS’s Robotic Surgery Program in Gynecology, which was created to expand the use of robotic surgeries in a variety of medical specialties and promote the use of artificial intelligence as a practical approach in health care.
The operations were carried out by Gynecologic surgeons with assistance from the Visiting Consultants Office and were supervised by visiting consultant Dr. Labib Riachi, a Robotic Gynecology specialist.
This is in accordance with the UAE government’s directive to become a Middle East center of excellence in the field of integrating artificial intelligence into medical services through robotic surgeries in all medical specialties, as well as to provide the highest levels of health care in accordance with international standards.
Soon, Artificial Intelligence robots will be seen everywhere helping out, this is great news for the future of mankind and the UAE!
